Global Warming: The Controversy Heats Up

This article, by Geoff Scott, talks about green house gases, global warming related flooding, the reality of Global warming, and health effects of global warming. Scott explains that greenhouse gases are a major cause of global warming because they keep the heat from escaping. While the health affects can not be determined for certain, it is thought that they would affect the elderly and the poor the most. They are the least able to cope with changes and would be the worst off. As the sea levels rise, water would become more scarce. The rising water from the ocean would contaminate the fresh water streams and rivers and the people that depended on them for water would have a problem.

Geoff Scoot raises some interesting points about the effects of global warming. He mentions things I’ve never seen before and never encountered in my research. This is a good article for researching the overall affects of global warming on the Earth as a whole.

I’m glad you’re learning new information! How will it fit with what you’ve already learned? Don’t forget effects/affects–change your mistake :-)
