The Heat Is On
In this article Ralph Nader debates noted astrophysicist Sallie Baliunas on global warming. Nader insists that changes need to happen now to ensure the future of our world and the health of those inhabiting it. Nader warns of the flooding of low lying areas and coastal regions, a surge in human health problems, and loss of important ecosystems. He also says that making harsher regulations and working towards a “greener” nation is way over due. Nader says that humans and the way we live they lives are the leading cause of global warming.
Baliunas says that there is not enough evidence to support the claim that global warming is human induced. She says that global warming is a natural thing that happens as time goes on. Through out history there has been recorded changes in temperature as time goes on.
This article was great because it showed two opposing views on global warming. It had both sides speaking and sharing their thought in the same article so you could view them side by side and make an educated decision on where you stand.
